The staff are all so kind, helpful, respectful, friendly and knowledgeable! Someone is always readily available to explain and questions or concerns you may have. It's a good atmosphere that can easily build to a sense of community if you allow it.

This is my home YMCA and I love it! Great environment with so many options. I enjoy the fitness center, swimming pool, whirlpool, suana and steam room. Very friendly staff. I learned how to swim at this YMCA over 50 years and greatful to still being coming here all of these years later. Thank you Nir Family YMCA!

Walking into the Nir Family YMCA feels like coming home. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re greeted by friendly faces at the front desk who welcome you back with a smile, a light joke, or a kind word that can brighten your entire day. There’s a genuine sense of family there. I’m especially grateful knowing that a management team member is always nearby if a problem should arise knowing Mr.Daniel Crate is close by is comforting and reassuring. It gives me peace of mind knowing that any concern will be handled with care and respect. The YMCA is clean, diverse, and welcoming to everyone. The variety of classes makes it easy to find something you love, no matter your age or interest. I also love how affordable and accommodating it is when bringing family, grandchildren, or even a guest for a playdate. They truly do their best to make everyone feel included. It’s a friendly neighborhood YMCA, and it’s a blessing to have it right here in our community. I wouldn’t change a thing. I recently joined this YMCA after relocating to Wilmington, NC. I am so grateful for the Pathways Scholarship. On my first visit, I was given a tour. The young man from the front desk was beneficial and informative. I originally went to swim, continuing my routine from my time in Georgia. As he was giving the tour, we stopped by studio A, and there was a class starting shortly. I decided to get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. I registered for the core class at 7:30 am. The young lady teaching was very knowledgeable and helpful. She could see that I was very weak and gave me modifications and encouraged me when I wanted to give up. I thought I was not strong enough for the class; however, she again encouraged me to continue to come and informed me that all exercises can be modified. I was able to get through the class with the modifications. I want to give a shout-out to her and say thank you very much. I love the YMCA organization as a whole. It is very family-oriented and the atmosphere is always positive and uplifting. I look forward to coming there on a regular basis and getting my health back. Thank you, Lord.

My first time at this YMCA was a few years back after they had suffered a pretty bad fire. The only part that I had the opportunity to see back then was the basketball court and it was in good shape. I wanted to check on joining this YMCA for the times of the year I am in town and came in today. I was given a tour by Natasha who was very helpful and thorough with her tour. This YMCA boasts racketball courts, a basketball court (with multiple activities on the courts), spacious and modern locker rooms, a weight room, a cardio room, a cycling and rowing room, an exercise class room, and a yoga classroom. That is a lot of stuff and I may still be forgetting something. I was mostly interested in the weight lifting area and the cardio area. The areas are small compared to local gyms and I can see it getting really cramped if you come around 4pm-7pm. That is not the time I was there today, but I imagine it gets busy around those times. The free weights and machines are fairly new and they are in good shape. There isn't a ton of variety, but you can hit all the body parts just fine.
